I came across this because I’m helping a client who installed Optimize Press in his website. His website is using Elementor as the main site builder. And after creating a landing page in OP, the rest of the site was broken. He didn’t notice it first but a prospect customer told him the video was not working on one of his older landing pages. When he asked me if I could check, it appeared all the other pages with embedded videos were not working. Not only videos but also all other elements reflected only white pages.

I am thinking that OP is the culprit and seeing the comments here cemented it. Will reach out to Elementor still and ask for the issue but it might really be OP. I’ve tried disabling OP plugin but it sadly, did not rectify the issue so I am still not 100% sure if OP was the culprit.

Were I starting over I would STAY FAR, FAR AWAY from OP. The upgrade from OP version 1 to 2 destroyed ALL my webpages, stripping dozens of stand alone sales pages of all their fomating and turning them into blogs instead. All those great templates you’re buying become garbage when the next OP version comes out.

After thousands of dollars paying a web designer to reconstruct my pages in OP2, I find today that my pages cannot be edited. Any product delivery page or membership page with a broken link is useless.

Try another WP template. Any other WP template.

Cause there’s really no customer support. Just email tag that goes nowhere.

I lost so much money in advertising and found out that I had low inquires because of the program after testing other solutions. About 3 out of 5 people are not registered, many people contacting me telling that they didn’t get my link magnet. I use an email solution and tried to but my lead manner without optimizepress and it works 100% of the time. I even tried myself with different computers and different emails.
It worked 50% of the time. This is very frustrating. I find it rude that you they do not offer refund as well when you complain. I tried to contacted them to fix the problem. very bad customer support. I lost 150$, DO NOT PURCHASE IT…

Few days ago I contacted them again (yes, again) when I click on create a new page, nothing happens. I contacted ‘support’ since I paid for this crappy software, no solution whatsoever. They ask me to pay again, and I told them to get lost.
Worst product ever.

You may be left with a broken website!

That’s where I am now: with a broken website. Read more to find out why – and how this happened…

Based on my research, it seems Optimize Press hasn’t done much to improve their payment, onboarding and customer service.

A friend of mine recommended OptimizePress so I gave it a shot. Somehow payment only went through for the Club account ($17 per month) and not for the main optimizepress service ($97).

Their customer service asked me to pay via PayPal since my credit card payment didn’t go through initially. So I did. And they activated my account. Good news! … I could use their service.

But then they sent me a refund and asked me to go back and pay through the website instead.

I thought it was a little much asking a customer to jump through all these hoops just to get signed up.

Because they granted me access, I went ahead and used the service for a month and, knowing that I had a month to try it out, went ahead and had my Web team build a sales page with one of their templates.

I asked for a refund for the Club account and told them I wanted to only pay for the primary optimize press service.

But I didn’t hear back – so it seems they weren’t very eager to collect my money and rectify the situation.

However, the $17 monthly optimizepress Club charges kept coming. So I asked them again to cancel and they sent me to their website to jump through some hoops in their automated process (meaning they don’t use humans to help you out!).

I went ahead and paid for the primiary OptimizePress service and I also canceled the OP Club. However they wouldn’t give me a refund – in spite of all the issues. So I simply disputed the charges on my card.

Now I’m seeing that they issued a refund for the primary OptimizePress service and revoked my access to their service – leaving me locked out and with a broken sales page on my website.

I’m not sure why this is the case and my latest inquiry has yet to get a response.

So far this has been a painful experience and I will recommend that people steer clear of using Optimize Press if they are concerned at all about getting any kind of reasonable customer service.

Here I am – Now stuck with a broken website and no word from Optimize Press. This may all turn out to be a big waste of time and money.

Not to mention ‘support’…it takes a life and and usually they provide answers that are ridiculous, if you get any. I can provide a copy of all my dialog with them, the answers they provide are even hilarious!
My 2 cents.

They are incredibly glitchy, and their ‘Live Editor’ is constantly clashing with different plugins, and even some versions of WordPress! Their page builder is so non-intuitive as to be stressful, and their customer service is terrible.

The last straw for me is I cannot update a page that I have changed the Buy it Now link to my ‘money’ product, and have gone through all of their troubleshooting, and it still will not update. This happened on a Saturday night, so I didn’t get customer service until Monday morning when they wrote me asking me a question.

I responded at 6 am PST and didn’t hear from them all day. Come to find out they are on London time, so i now won’t hear from them until tomorrow, and my ‘money’ page will have been down for 2 1/2 days… if they fix the problem tomorrow morning.

They have no phone number to call, and no other way to get hold of them for something urgent… like your money page going down. Plus, unless you want to re-create all of your pages with a new pagebuilder, getting rid of them is dang hard, and you’ll always have to renew because the pages will not work with updated wordpress versions. So, once you use their non-intuitive glitchy page builder and bad customer service, you’ll be stuck with them forever.

Hey there!

Installing OptimizePress should be pretty easy, here‘s a detailed documentation by their support team.

Glad you liked the review. You may also want to check out our comparison of top membership plugins for WordPress.

Sure thing, Mark.

1. Yes, you can OptimizePress for affiliate marketing, it comes as both a plugin & a theme so if you already have a WordPress theme installed, you can use the plugin version to create custom pages.

2. You should be able to create the different sections using the editor. You can also use a plugin like < a ref="https://www.wpkube.com/how-to-create-and-manage-tables-in-wordpress-with-tablepress-plugin/">tablepress to further divide / compare the products you are trying to promote.

3. You can link to products from images, from post editor, irrespective of which WordPress theme or plugin, you are using.

4. Yes, anyone (from any country) can use the OptimizePress to build a landing page or membership site. Also, the plugin / theme is translate ready, meaning you can translate the content to your language, using Loco Translate plugin.

Hope that helps.

Cheers!

Can i use a optimizepress page primarly for affiliate marketing?
So on my page i would have four different sections. Let’s say health & nutrition, fitness, spirituality and books. Under each section i would then write about the subject itself and then post an affiliate link that leads to a product (on amazon), which is related to the section. For example under the section fitness i would post a link that leads to dumbells. So can you freely make a list of links (affiliate links) on the page created with optimizepress?
And can those links be seen as an advertising picture like on this page for instance: http://www.werkzeugkoffer-tests.de/tipps/werkzeugkoffer/
Is it possible with optimize press to make redirect links/affiliate links look like a picture on which you can click on?
And can basically anyone build a page using optimizepress in any country? For instance i myself am from Slovenia and i would like to create a page using you programm, and then i would like to advertise it in Germany. Can a page created with optimizepress in Slovenia be registred and hosted in Germany or any other country? So basically what i am saying is can i purchase Optimizepress at your site, than use the program to create a page, then register a german (.de) domain and host the page in Germany, and then use the page for advertising products in the german web space?
Many thanx,
Mark
