Insert image by URL is a broken feature.

Steps to recreate:
– Add a Blurb module (or any module that has an image feature, including the Image module itself)
– Open the setting box and click on the Image & Icon area
– Enter a valid URL in the ‘Add an image by URL’ field
– Close and re-open
– Your URL has been wiped out (why?)

Be very careful, as at the moment if you use the Divi Theme Editor & WooCommerce – the checkout using Divi editor doesn’t work with Stripe, it is a bug, Elegant exchange are working, and have a fix, but as yet they have not released it and do not know when they are going to release it!!

Which to me smacks of them NOT having a fix yet!!!

I’ve been using Divi for two years, and I have to admit. Their site-building UX is horrible. For example, I finished my landing page on the desktop display (1440p), but it looked like crap on my One Plus 9 Pro screen. So if I started tweaking elements for the phone view and everything was set, I discovered that now the desktop view was broken. Otherwise, it’s a pretty good service, but their UX makes me wanna scream from time to time.

WARNING! The themes shown above other than Divi and Extra are NO LONGER being supported/updated. While Divi is nice, my clients loved & preferred the TheStyle and Origin (above) themes.

I expressed my concern (early 2019) when they removed these themes and all of the other themes except Divi and Extra from the theme list on their homepage. The support admitted that these now-unsupported themes would last a “couple more years or whenever WordPress gets a major update before they start showing errors and become unusable.”.

Sudden cease of support/updates or no offer of replacement Divi layouts for the unsupported themes? Very poor taste. I feel trapped. Now my clients are upset and are having me scramble to find replacements. I completely agree with Bob above… TOTAL waste of money (and time)! Good riddance, ET… go home!

Awful company. App sucked – we couldn’t use it – and a YEAR LATER they auto charged me $97 would not refund the money. I paid $200 for – NOTHING.

But I am working on an in-depth guide about WordPress security (it should be published within a day or 2), will let you know once it is live. In the meantime, you should install a backup plugin (Backup Buddy or Duplicator). My personal favorite is Backup Buddy, as it provides a ton of usual features and options for scheduling backups.
